Peach - Jacob Miller It was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman Lammers that said report be adopted and that the City Clerk be instructed to notify each of the claimants of the action of the Council. Upon roll call all six councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. Witnesses for Goo. C. Teal Suit, In the matter of the suit of Coo. C. Teal va the City of Port Townsend account pipe lin, right of way, it was moved by Councilman Starrett and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the City Council authorise the employment of expert witnesses, in relation to the suit of Goo. C. Teal vs the City of Port Townsend, for value of land, timber, eto., included in the City+s pipe line right of way and that the Water Committee be empowered to select said witnesses. Motion declared carried. Street Work Emergency Ordinance to be prepared. In the matter of certain street work, it was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Starrett that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an emergency ordinance in the amount of $400.00 for labor and use of equipment for improvement of.BiAine and Washington Streets. Motion declared carried. Opposed to Milloge Bill, and Board of Budget Control. It was moved by Councilman Starrett and seconded by Councilman Smith that the City Council go on recod as being opposed to the bill repealing the Act allowing city councils 6f cities of the third class to vote an extra three mills for current expense items and also opposed to the bill creating county budget control boards and to instruct the City Clerk to write eadh ofioub representatives and senator in the legislature to that effect. Motion declared carried. To advertise for Bide for Water Maine. It appearing that funds would soon be available from the sale of bonds for water main construction, it was moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Smith that the City Clerk be in- structed to advertise for bids for construction of pipe line from the city limits to the city reservoirs in accordance with plane and specifications recently adopted by the City Council, said bide to be opened at the regular session of the City Co:mcil,bTueeday, March 17, 1931, at B otolook P.M. Upon roll call, all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion wee denlared carried. Upon motion of Councilman Starrett, seconded by Councilmen Lafferty, Council adjourned.
