To the Mayor and City Council,
�.�. Gentlemen:
Attached is a letter from Mr. H. N. Simpson, Resident Engineer, National Paper Products Company.
Mr. Simpson would like to have a letter in theformof an acknowledgement that the main line has bean
y maintained by the Paper Company as per agreement with the City of Port Townsend.
:.� He would also like to have the City Council take further action with the County Commissioners is regard
to the right of way over the Beak road. There seems to have been nothing further done in the matter since
the last report to the City Council. He is very anxious to have this matter settled no it is of vital im-
portanoe to the maintenance of the pipe line.

Tha City Clerk stated that forms had been received to contract to supply the U.S. Poet Office Building

Dedication of Streets.

t�r�} Councilman Lamers brought up the matter of property acquired by the city for street purposed and stated
that a large number of these parcels had never been dedicated as streets. Mayor Bangerter referred this
matter to the Street Committee, the City Engineer and the City Attorney.

recommended its acceptance.

man Smith oast the ballot of the Council for Councilman Lammers as Mayor Pro Tom. Upon roll call, Council-
men Smith, Lafferty, Miller and Starrett voted in the affirmative and Councilman Lammers in the negative.
Motion declared carried.
Councilman Smith then oast the ballot for Councilman lsimsero for Mayor, Pro Tem., se directed.

Councilman Lafferty, Chairman of the Street Committee, brought up the matter of removal
of gravel from the city property known as the Dundee gravel pit, to the effect that the gravel was being ex-
`" hausted without payment to the city end at as actual lose to the city inasmuch as other parties left rubbish
rr ;; fXr'"Q_ and debris that the City'a employees,were obliged to remove before they could secure gravel.
It was then moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Miller that a gato and look be put
on the Dundee gravel pit. Motion declared carried

It was moved by Councilman Starrett and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the Council rocoae for tea
