The City Council of the'City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session thiel8th day of
December, 1930, at 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall. Mayor George Bangerter presiding.I-`�>x

It was moved by Councilman Peach and seconded by Councilman Robbins that the minutes of the regular
session of December 9th be adopted as written. Motion declared carried.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS

Mayor Bangerter stated that he had waited for a full week before signing the franchise ordinance fo
the spur track on Water Street to give the citizens an opportunity to file objections, if any,'and that as no
objections had been filed he would now sign the said ordinance.
City Attorney Scott said that he had advised Mr. Stoltenberg-of the amendments and that the said
amendments were satisfactory to him.
City -Engineer Sadler filed reports for the period ending December 15th of the flow of water through
the main line meters and same were ordered filed. g`r's�h
REPORTS OF CONMITTEES
Councilman Robbins, Chairman of the Street Committee, stated that the committee had mat with the
County Commissioners in relation to the'Penny Croak Road and were assured that the Cemmissioners would give it
favorable consideration. Ali

The undersigned respectfully petitions your honorable body, to deed the following des-
cribed tracts of land, to School District No. 43, Jefferson County, at nominal oonsideration:

"Beginni..b at a point on the East line of Van Buren Street, which is three hundred (300) feet North
of the Northwest corner of Block "U", Kuhns Ranch Addition, thane at right angle, eighty nine and
'eight tenths (89.8) feet Easterly to a point on property lino; thence Southwesterly to a point on
East side of Van Buren Street, distant two hundred fifty (250) feet North of the northwest corner
of said Block "U"; thence Northerly along East side of Van Buren Street, to place of Beginning;
all in Port Townsend, State of Washington."

In case of your favorable action, this property is intended to be used as part of a parcel of land
be exchange for a tract privately owned, desireable in the construction of an athletic field the School Dis-
trict is planning on building this Winter near the Junior High School. -

It was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Lammers that the requisition be, _
granted. Upon roll call all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.

A few hours carpenter work to put up some plain shelves in Clerk's office.

It wan moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Miller that said requisition be grant-
ed. Motion declared carried.
ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
The City Clerk stated that in several instances salaries for appointive officers and employees in
1931 budget were in a lump sum only, and desired the Council to set a mpeoifie amount to be paid each
oyes monthly and introduced a resolution to that effect, which was read in full. It was moved by Council -
Lammers and seconded by Councilman Peach -that said resolution be adopted. Upon roll call all six Council -
present voted in the affirmative and motion,.was declared curried.
The following is a full, true and correct copy of said rerolution as adopted by the Council, to -wit,
R E S 0 L U T I ON.
CONFIRMING CERTAIN ITEM[B.OF THE 1931 BUDGET.
WHEREAS, Certain total sums were appropriated in the Budget for the year of 1931 for salaries for the
ral appointive city officers and employees, and,
WHEREAS, It is necessary for the information and guidance of the City Clerk and to confirm said budget
the monthly salary to be paid each such officer or employee be specifically set forth, Now, Therefore,
Be It Resolved and Declared that the monthly salaries to be paid said officers and employees for the
1931, all as appropriated in the said budget for 1931, shall be as follows, to -wits
