The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, mot in regular session this 9th day of
December, 1930, at 7t30 P. M. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall. Councilman Wm. Lammers, Mayor Pro Tom
presiding.
ROLL CALL
Upon roll call there were present City Attorney Jae W. B. Scott, City Clerk C. F. Christian and
Councilmen Wm. Lammers, Jacob Miller, S. V. Peach and W. S. Lafferty.
MINUTES ADOPTED
It was moved by Councilman Peach and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the minutes of the regu-
lar session of December 2nd be adopted as written.Motion'declared carried.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS

The City Clerk reported that he had issued warrants upon the Current Expense Fund in payment of
services of officers at the City General Election on December 2nd, as authorized by the City Council, Boom -

Amdadmeata to Franchise for Spur Tracks .
In the matter of the franchise desired by the Port Townsend Southern Railroad Company to con- i
struct a spur track on Water Street, City Attorney Scott presented the following proposed amendments to same t
for consideration of the Council:

First Amendment:
That section one of the proposed franchise ordinance submitted by the Port Townsend
Southern Railroad Company, be amended by, striking out the following words thereon, to- ff
wits "of twenty-five years from the dateof the passage of this ordinance, and the in- I.
sertion therein in lieu thereof the following words, to -wits "ending and terminating on 111
the 18th day of August, 1950;"

It was moved by Councilman Peach and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that said amendment be adopt-

Second Amendment: f

That poction two of the proposed franchise ordinance submitted by the Port Town-
send Southern Railroad Company, be amended by adding therein at the and thereof the
following words, to -wits "and that for such purpose, the said grantee shall have the
right, privilege and authority to transport over its main railroad track over Water ..-

It was moved by Councilman Peach and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the said amendment be

That- section five of the proposed franchise ordinance submitted' by the Port 'Townsend

Section 5.. That whenever the said City of Port Townsend shall cause either of the

and adjacent to the spur track herein mentioned, the said grantee, its successors or
