ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
The emergency ordinance, introduced November 4th, and read for the first reading and upon which a

Whereas, it duly appearing to the City Council that an emergency exists for the appropriation and expend -

The proposed 'emergency ordinance appropriating 1400.00 for the Water Department, introduced and real

Whereas, it duly appearing to the city council of said city that an emergency exists for the appropriatio
and expenditure in the sum of $400.00, in payment of extra labor employed by said water department, by reason
of the unusual cold and frosty weather during the past winter which froze some of the pipe lines of the dis-
tributing system of said water department, and necessary labor having been employed to thaw out and repair
said pipe lines, thereby exhausting the budget for saidvrater department for the year 1930, which could not
have been foreaeon at the time of adopting the budgetfor said department for the year 1930; news therefore,

Appointment of Election Officers,
In the matter of the appointment•of election officers and designation of polling places for the mun-
icipal general election to be hold December 2nd, 1930, the following resolution confirming the recommendation
of the Councilmen of the several wards •sas presented and read,,to-writs.
RESOLUTION.
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that the persons hereinafter ncmod to
serve as election officers for the Municipal General. Election to,be held on the 2nd day of December, 1930, be
and they hereby are appointed as such election officers in the several wards of the city, as follows, to -wit:
FIRST WARD - Inspector, H. 0. Slayton;; Judges, Grace E. Grasser and Florence Dibble.
SECOIiD WARD - Inspector, F. W. Hastings; Judges, Lucinda Fritz and Sarah N. Peach.
THIRD WARD - Inspector - Carrie F. Pillep; Judges, Mae M. Mahan and Margaret N. Sturrock.
FOURTft WARD - Inspector, Fannie G. Brown; Judges, Grace L. Smith and Lillinn Bader.
FIFTH WARD - Inspector, Gas. H. Manchester; Judges, Hilda S. Jorgensen and Frances Simooe.
