It was moved by Councilman Robbins -and seconded by Councilman Lammers thatsaidrequisitions be gran-
ted. Upon roll call Councilman Miller, Robbins, Aldrich, Peach and Lammers voted in the affirmative. Council-
man Smith and Lafferty voting in the negative. Motion declared carried.
It was moved by Councilman Robbins and seconded by Councilman Lammere that the Final Budget as
upon and adopted at thestatutory session of October 6th be confirmed and adopted. Upon roll call all
Councilman voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
The ordinance introduced and read in full at the last regular session of the Council granting a
franchise to the Olympic Pile Driving .Company to construct a dock at the foot of Madison Street was nowtaken
up and read in full for the second reading. It was moved by Councilman Robbins and seconded by Councilman
Peach that the third reading be by title only. Upon roll call all seven Councilmen present voted in the
affirmative and motion was declared carried. The City Clerk then read the ordinance by title only for the
third reading. It was then moved by Councilman Robbins end seconded by Councilman Miller that said ordinance
do now pass. Upon roll call all coven Councilmen voted in the affirmative and motion rras declared carried.
The following is a full, true and correct copy of said Ordinance No. 999 as passed by the City
Council, October 7th; approved by the Mayor , October loth; and published in the Port Townsend Leader, October
Lath, 1930, to -wit:
ORDINANCE No. 999
An ordinance authorizing the OLYMPIC PILE DRIVING COMPANY, a corporation, its successors and assigns, to
nstruct•and maintain wharves, building docks, merino ways and gridiron on Madison street commencing on the
uth side of Water street, between blocks 6 and 6 of the Original Townsite of Port Tormeend, State of Wash -

The City Council of the City of Port Townnend do ordain as follows,
Section 1. That there is hereby granted to the OLYMPIC PILE DRIVING COMPANY, a corporation,and its

fstructeunder this franchise to the said City of Port Townsend. That all the rights granted under this
Franchise or franchises previously granted affecting said streets and the city especially reserves the right
at any time hereafter to grant a frnnchise over, across and along said streets to any person, company or cor-
'acporation, for the construction and operation of a railroad thereon and that all the rights granted in thin
franchise shall be subject to this reservation. The grantee further agrees to leave the .street open and
cessible to the abutting property at all times when reoueated to do so by the City of Port Tovmsend.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall be accepted by the grantee within thirty days after its passage and
if not so accepted shall be void.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be publiehod once in the Port To,.=cend Leader and take effect and
give force from and after five days from publication.
Section S. That for the rights horein granted the said PLYIPIC PILE DRIVING COMPANY and its assigns,
shall pay to the City of Port Townsend, Washington, thesum of One Dollar (01.00) per anrum during the term
of said franchise payable annually in advance; that'in case the saidgranteeor its assigns shall foil to
comply with any or all conditions of this Ordinance, than and therefore this Ordinance shallbecome null and
void and all rights and franchises herein granted shall become null and vuid.

for the year 1931" was now introduced end rend in full for the first reading. It was moved by Councilman
Peach and seconded by Councilman Robbins that the first roadtrgbe considered the second reading and that
