Gentlemen:
We, the underaigned,petitioners, respectfully represent that a section of the water pipe on Umatilla
Avenue was broken by the city grader some time ago and prevents the distribution of city water. That such
repairs be made to the, pipe as are neoossary to furnish the residents with water who may reside in the
vicinity, and to those persons comtemplating building there at once, is our urgent request.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, under and pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 997
of the City of Port Townsend, a special proposition will be voted upon at the regular City
Primary Election which will be held in the City of Port Townsend on Tuesday the 4th day of
November, 1930.
The polls of said election will be open at 8s00 o'clock A.M. and will remain open until
8s00 osolock P.M.
At said election there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said city for

PROPOSITION OF FORT TOWNSEND GENERAL INDEBTEDNESS WATER BONDS
Shall the City of Port Townsend issue and sell $49,000.00 of its negotiable interest -bearing general
indebtedness coupon bonds.to provide monies for certain additions and betterments to, and extensions of, its
existing municipal water works system as specified andprovidedby Ordinance No. 997 of said city and
particularly Section 3 of said Ordinance; said bonds to be payable beginning with the second year in such
amounts (as nearly an practicable) as will, together with interest on the outstanding bonds, be met by an
equal annual tax levy over a period of twenty-five years from the data of their isouance and to drew interest
at a rate not to exceed six per sent per annum, interest payable semi-annually or annually?

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and he hereby is directed to cause said special
notice to be published in the Port Townsend Leader on October 2nid,6th, 9th, 13th, 16th, 20th, 23rd, 27th and
30th and November 3rd, 1930, and shall cause such notices to be posted in at least three places in each of
the five voting wards of said city at least thirty days prior to the date of said election.

UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS
City Engineer Sadler now presented plans and specifications for the proposed sidewalk around the
City Hall together with the following oonnunioations

Gentlemen:
Subject: Estimate of Concrete Sidewalk, City Hall.
I have prepared Plane and Specifications for Concrete Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter, Runways to City
Jail and Fire Hall an per your instructions of September 2, 1930.
A copy of the Specifications and the tracing of the Plan and Detail accompany this Estimate.
If the Plan is accepted it should be adopted by the City Council, approved by the Mayor, attested
,he City Cleric and returned to this office.
The Specification should be referred to the City Attorney for his approval. Adertised for Bide
date Bet for opening of Bids.
The estimated cost of this work completeSis $590.00. Thin can be reduced by eliminating the Gut
until such tiro as the streets are paved.
