Minutes of July 15/30 continued
to the Dundee Addition. This will be connected to the now line in the future. Part of this
line will be a part of Loop No. 2. My opinion that the present routing Loop No. 1 will be the
most economical and serve the greatest number of patrons both at the present time and in the future
Estimate No. 1:
i6" wood pipe from the end of the present 20" steel pipe at the city limits to the intersec-
tion of the West Line of the Eisenbeis Addition and 9th Street; Along 9th Street to Sheridan $tree
North on Sheridan Street to 19th Street.
12" wood pipe along 19th to Blaine Street; along Blnine Street to Kenrney Street; from Blaine
to the North side of Jefferson Street and there connect with the new 12". onst:Aron main recently

12" Cast. Iron pipe from the West aide of Tyler Street to Monroe Street along Water Stroetj 12"
wood pipe from Water Street to Roosevelt Street; 12" wood pipe on Roosevelt Street from Monroe to
Jackson Street; 12" wood pipe from Roosevelt Street to Root Street on Jackson Streett 12" wood

on Root Street. Providing all valves, fittings, fire hydrants necessary, blocking at turns, man-
holes and service taps. Valve boxes, service taps, etc., as shown on accompanying plans --- the

ESTIMATE NO. 2.
The routing of this line will be the same as Estimate No. 1 to the North side of Jefferson
Street. 12" cast iron pipe from the West side of Tyler Street to Adams Street, 10" cast iron pipe
from Adams Street to Monroe Street.
12" cast iron pipe from Water Street to the North side of Washington Street) 32" wood pipe
from the North side of Washington Street to Jefferson Street; 12" wood pipe iron Adams Street to
Taylor Street on Jefferson Street; 12" wood pipe from Jefferson Street to Cosgrove on Taylor Stroe-
12" wood pipe from Taylor Street to Quincy Street on Cosgrove; 12" wood pipe from Cosgrove to Root
Street and the Reservoir No. 1 on Quincy Street.
Providing all valves, fittings, fire hydrants, necessary blocking at turns, manholes, valve -
boxes, service taps, etc., as shown on the accompanying plans; Repairs to Reservoirs #1 and #2,

The plans accompanying these estimntes are to be returned to this office to be finished but
are complete as to showing the routing, fittings, etc.,

By invitation of the Council, the matter was discussed by Mr. W. J. Daly Jr., who was present
and also by City Attorney Scott, after which the said report was referred to the City Attorney, the
City Engineer and the Council as a whole.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEE.
Street Committee
Sidewalk Grade for Benson.
Councilman Robbins reported t!.at Mr. P. D. Benson desired to have the grade set for a cement
sidewalk, and moved, seconded by Councilman Peach that the City Engineer be instructed to give Mr.
Benson the grade for a cement sidewalk in front of the building known as the N. D. Hill��building,
corner of Water and Quincy Streets.
Upon roll call, all six Councilmen present voted in favor thereof and motion was declared
carried.
Water for Ball Grounds.
Reporting on the rumor thnt the Municipal Golf Club had charged different organizations for
the use of the Ball Grounds, a part of the property leased to the said Golf Club, Councilman Rich-
ards stated that he had investigated the matter and learned that $25.00 had been mollected from the
High School athletic department and $25.00 from the Coast Guard and Paper Mill interests and in vim
of the maintenance and oversight of the property, he believed the charge was justified. After
considerable discussion relative to the rentals charged and the problem of furnishing the Ball park
with water, the matter was referred to the Committee on Buildings and Miscellaneous.

as yet received any payments on our invoice for the Cast Iron Pipe furnished on this work amounting
to $6,515.32, and as we understand that the contract has been accepted and the work completed, in
order to protect the money due us on our invoice we hereby file our formal alaim with the City of
Port Townsend for the amount of Six Thousand Five Hundred and Fifteen Dollars and Thirty Tio Cents,
($6,515.32).
