Communication from 0. R. Dinsmore, District Engineer of the Highway Department was
presented and read, as follows:
Honorable Mayor and City Council
City of Port Townsend,
Port Townsend, Washington
Gentlemen:

State Road No. 9
Port Townsend -Ludlow Rd.
L-27 -
In connection with the paving of State Road No. 9 from Tyler Street in Port Townsend
to Ludlow Road, our plans have been prepared on the basis of having the Port Townsend and Puget
Sound Railways tracks carried down the center of Water Street until after the tracks are crossed
by State Road No. 9.
The tracks as they exist at present do not lay in the center of the street. It is,
therefore, requested that you take such action as is necessary in order to have the tracks placed
in the center of the street, which I understand is in accordance with the franchise granted to the
Railway Company.
It is anticipated that we will award the contract for this improvement about March 18th.
Very truly yours,
ORD:MJ 0. R. Dinsmore
