Lots 5, 6, 7, 8 in Block 8 of Pettygrove Park Addition to the City of Port Townsend,
and that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to make said tender and that the Mayor
and City Clerk be further authorized to execute a warrant upon the Current Expense fund of the said
city, in the sum of $1,000.00 for the purchase of the said property, as soon as same is available
under the emergency ordinance passed at this session of the City Council.
It was moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Robbins that the said
resolution be adopted. Upon roll call, all five councilmen present voted in the affirmative and
motion was declared carried.
UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS
Insurance on Fire Truck:
In the matter of insurance on the new Mick Fire Truck, Councilman Peach, Chairman
of the Fire and Lighe Committee, reported that the policy submitted by George Welch appeared to be
the lowest and best bid, and moved, seconded by Councilman Miller, that the bid of George Welch, as
shown by insurance policy submitted, be accepted, subject to the approval of the Mack International
Motor Truck Gorporation, and that the other insurance policies submitted be returned for cancella-
tion. Upon roll call, all five councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared
carried.
Reservoir Fence:
In relation to the proposed fence to enclose the city reservoirs, it was moved by
Councilman Robbins and seconded by Councilman Miller, that the city engineer proceed with the pur-
chase of heavy wire and concrete posts according to the specifications outlined by him to the city
council. Upon roll call, all five councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was de-
clared carried.
Mocullem Claim:
Councilman Lammers, of the Finance Committee, reporting on the disposition of the
two claims presented by P. J. McCullem, et ux, recommended that both of said claims be rejected.
Claims Rejected:
It was moved by Councilman Robbins and seconded by Councilman Smith that the report
of Councilman Lammers of the Finance Committee in relation to the claims of P. J. McCullem, at ux, be
adopted. Upon roll call, all five councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was de-
clared carried.
City Clerk to Notify:
Ittgablmoved by Councilman Robbins and seconded by Councilman Smith that the City
Clerk be instructed to serve written notice upon Allan Trumbull, attorney for P. J. McCullem and
wife, that their .claims for damages as far as the city is concerned have been rejected Motion
declared carried.
Opening now streets:
Councilman Robbins brought up the matter of requests for opening new streets, and
after a general discussion, the sentiment appeared to be against doing any considerable amount of
work in opening new streets.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion of Councilman Peach, seconded by Councilman Lammers, Council, adjourned.
