The block north of that the ground shows demp but there are no leaks showing on the surface, 1 can not tell to what extent, if any, thi leakage amounts to without having the pipe uncovered. ' The overflow line seams to be in good shape also the line running south on Monroe btreet. Part of the trouble ' think can also be attributed to drainage from the slope above, of which we i have no control. The street should be graded to a level .cross section and the ditch on the east side of street cleaned out and made a little wider and deeper., I ;! The.Mill people seem to think that this type vfi will not give them the necessary fire protection and suggest all metal construction. This would cos approximately twice what.the above building would cost. Also we would have to advertise and call for bids. This would bake Enom four to six weeks before actual construction, o ou Id begin. ; .It has also been suggested by them that they go ahead and construct the building and the charge the cost of eame back to the City.
