M. in the Council Chambers of the City Ball, Mayor Bangerter residing. j ROLL CALL Upon roll call, there were present Mayor George Bangerter, City Clerk C. F. Christian, bting City Attorney W. J. Daly, Jr., and Councilmen S. V. Peach, W. B. smith, Wm. Lammers, Jacob Biller, and Harry W. Robbins, Councilman Aldrich arriving just prior to consideration of Ordinance 40. 983. READING OF MINUTES DEFERRED it was moved by Councilman Peach and seconded by Councilman Lammers that reading of bhe minutes of the regular session of October lot, 1929, be deferred to the next regular session. Motion declared carried. SPECIAL BUSINESS ONLY It was thereupon moved by councilman Peach and seconded by Councilmen Robbins to dispense with all business at this session, except consideration of ordinances and of special busi- ness. Motion carried. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS In accordance with instructions of the City Council and the City Attorney, the City Clerk presented the following ordinances: Water Department Ordinance: The first ordinance presented was entitled "An Ordinance fixing and adopting a budget for the water department for the city of Port Townsend for the year 1930". Said ordinance was san pread in full for the first reading. It was moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by each that the first reading be considered the second reading, and that the third reading be by title only. Upon roll call, all six councilmen present voted :in the affirmative, and motion was declared carried. The City Clerk read the said ordinance by title only for the third reading and it•was'thereupon move by Councilman Lammers and.seconded-by Councilman Peach that the said ordinance do now pass.Upon roll call, all six councilmen present voted in the affirmative, and motion was declared carried. The following is a full, true and correct copy of said Ordinance No. 9830 as passed by the city council October Sth, 1929, approved by the Mayor Cotober 8th, 1929, and published in the Port Townsend Leader October 10, 1929, to -wit: ORDINANCE NO. 983. The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, do ordain as follows: Section 1. That the following described budget be, and the same is hereby fixed and adopted for the Water Department of the. City of Port IT for the year 1930, divided in the total amounts in each of the following classes comprising the whole of the budget, to -wit: Salaries and Wages ................ ...... $ 7,590.00 Maintenance and Operation ................ $ 5,025.75 Capital Outlay ...........................$ 619.00 Interest and Debt Redemption .............$44,750.00 Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be published once in the Port Townsend Leader, an( to take effect and be in force as provided by law.
