Port lowr.send, Wash, Sept. 17, 1929
To the Honorable Mayor of Fort Lovmsend

We wish to call your immediate attention to the continuously leaking condition of the

property, and, ns our house stands on a much lower grade than Clallam St. an4 adjacent property,
the water from these leaks collects in our -basement, causing serious damage to the brick walls and
cement floors, and creating a serious menace to health.
May we request that the City Engineer to instructed to give this matter prompt
attention.
Yours reepactfully,

r
glad you are taking up with Mr. Rose the gauge and mesh of screens for the screen shambers.
w
I have just received a letter from Mr. Schoenwerk with regard to coveting screen enclosures. It
;
was his understanding that the City would take care of this in such a manner so that leaves and
debris would be kept out of the screens so that snore would function the year round. I have no fur-
ther records to go on, since i was not involved in the various negotions up until the time we took
over the line, but from whar Mr. Schoenwork says apparently it has always been our understanding
that you would take care of the covering of the screen enclosures.
,
We would, therefore, appreciate hearing fruther from you on this subjectand whether or not we may
expect this work to be taken care of in the near future.
Yours very truly,
