We are informed that you have permitted various persons to tap the water pipe
Line outside the city limits. 6uoh tap -offs, other than that for Hadlook and lrondale, are contrary
bo and in violation of the terms of the lease and are without our consent or permission.
While we do not intend to out bhese persons off from the line at present, we
reserve the right to disconnect these tap -offs on the water pipe line at any time on 'Pen (10) days
notice. Also, if other tap -offs are made by such persons or other, consumers are added to their,
lines, we will have to disconnect immediately all their tap -offs without notice. We ,are accordingly
giving them all written notice to this effect.
We hereby reserve the right to require full performance of the terms of the leas
to be performed by you.

ending August 26th and September 3rd were read and orderef filed.

Harbor and Health Committee:
Councilman Smith, r'hairman of the harbor and Heal "omnittee, reported that the
city garbage dump was in a deplorable condition, caused, apparently, by private persons hauling thoi
arm garbage and throwing it out before they reached the dump on the beach. In relation to the Matto
the City Clark stated that Lieutenant Foes, of Fort Worden, had lodged a complaint that garbage was
being dumped over the blmff in the vicinity of Colonel Hayden's residence, and that the tide had
carried this garbage to the beach along the military reserve.
