Minutes of June 18/29 continued.
the City Engineer as ex-offiaio Inspector of Building and Electric Wiring and ex-officio Plumbing
Inspector, together with the City Attorney be instructed to draw up a Building and Electric Wiring
Ordinance and a new Plumbing Ordinance and present same to the Council. Motion carried.
To draw up new Water Ordinance.
It was moved by Couno rlman Quenell, seconded by Councilman Robbing that the Water Committee, to-
gether with the Water Superintendent, the City Attorney and the City Engineer draw up a new Water
Ordinance and present same to the Council. Motion carried.
To stren then Fire Hall Floor..
The matter of preparing the floor in the Fire Hall to receive the new fire engine visa novr broug
up and City Engineer Sadler stated that he would not recommend that concrete be laid on top of the
present wood floor as it would add very little strength to the floor.
Up to $200.00 a ro r'ated.
After some d sauss on, it was moved by Councilman Robbins and seconded by Councilman Quenell
that a a= up to $200.00 for strengthening the said fire room floor be authorized and to include the
sidewalk approach to the fire hall. Upon roll call, all five councilmen present voted in favor
thereof and motion was declared carried.
RECESS.
It visa moved by Councilman Quenell anTseconded by Councilman Robbind that the Council recess
for a few minutes. Motion carried and recess declared.
RE -CONVENED.
The Council ro-convened at 10:45 P.M., Mayor Bangerter presiding and upoh roll call there were
present Mayor Geo. Bangerter, City Clerk C. F. Christian, Deputy City Attorney W. J. Daly, Jr., and
Councilmen W. B. Smith, Edw. Quenell, Wm.Lammers, Jacob Miller and Harry W. Robbins.
Street Vacation Petition.
Referring back to the petition from the County Commissioners for vacation of certain streets,
Mayor Bangerter referred the matter`to the Street Co:imi.ttee.
Dal 's Report on Paper Company conference.
Referring back to Y1. J. Da y's written report on the conference with -National Paper Products Co.
Mayor Bangerter referred the same to the Water Committee.
Letter from Schoenwerk, re: conference.
The communication from Mr. Schoenwerk of the National Paper Products Co., which was read earlie
in this session, was again referred to the Water Committee.
Changes in Committees.
Mayor angarter then announced that he would make changes in the Standing Committees of the City
Council, as follows: Councilman Clark Aldrich taken from the Street Committee and placed on the
Police and License Committee. Councilman W. B. Smith to be transferred from the Police and License
committee to the Street Committee.
To purchase meters.
Ii was moved by Councilman Quenell and Seconded by Councilman Lammers that the City Engineer
purchase meters for the main supply line of the water system and install same. Upon roll call,
all five councilmen present voted in favor thereof and motion was declared carried.
Special Committee Complimentod.
MayBangerter stated that the special committee appointed to confer with officials of the
Paper Company were to be complimented upon the work they accomplished.
Intitatory Steps for Inprovoment District.
It was moved by Councilman Robb ins and seconded by Councilman Quenell that the City Engineer anc
the City Attorney take initiatory steps toward•+creating an improvement district as previously propose
Motion carried.
To Ask for Truck Bids.
As a courtesy to Councilman Miller, Councilman Robbins stated that he would move that the City
Clerk be instructed to ask all local Auto and Truck Agencies to submit sealed bids an a light Auto
truck for the Street Department,the truck to be equipped with Hydraulic Hoist and Dump Body and with
32" x 6" heavy duty tires. Councilman Miller seconded the motion and upon a call for the question
motion was declared carried.
ADJOURNMENT.
Upon motion of Councilman Robbins, seconded by Councilman Smith, Council adjourned.

July, 1929, at 8 P. M. in the Council chamber of the city hall, Councilman Quenell, Mayor Pro Tom
presiding.'
