Minutes of June 18/29 continued.
Dear Sir: -
In line with our meeting this afternoon in Mr. Toddle office, eve will again outline the
various items the Paper Company feels should be taken care of they take over the maintenance of the
line:
1. Your attorneys to satisfy our attorneys as to the right-of-ways, titles, etc-
2. City Lake to be completely cut -in and screen box in operation.
S. Any necessary back -filling of line to be completed.
4. Any additional air valves to be installed necessary to prevent 'air pockets which are now
existing in certain parts of the line.
5. The proper insulation or protection of the air valves so as to prevent winter freezing.
We believe the above, subject to inspection, would complete the line to our satisfaction
and feel that the above items could be taken care of very quickly.
As to the tap -offs outside of thn City, the Paper Company would wish to stand by the terms
of the lease, namely the one tap -off for Irondale and Hadlock. We might, subject to no shortage of
water, be willing to allow certain of the existing tap -offs to remain, but would desire from you a
diagram showing just what ones are on.
We have requested this information several times, but it has not been received.
The Paper Company and is proceeding to install, a meter on our part of the line so as to
determine as to whether we are actually getting the amount of water we are entitled to on our lease
and vie aould offer as a suggestion that the City meter their portion of the water so that the line
could be checked for its rated capacity.
We would wish to extend our thanks to yourself and committee, for coming in today to ar-
rive at an understanding of the outstanding features and remain,
Yours very truly,
0. C. Schoenwerk.
