May 21, 1929
The City Cbunoil of the City of PortTownsend met in regular session this 21st day of May,
1929, at 8:00 P. M. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall. Mayor George Bangerter,Presiding.
ROLL CALL
Upon Roll Call there -were present Mayor George Bangerter, City Clerk C. F. Christian, W.
J. Daly, Jr., representing City Attorney Scott, and Councilman Harry W. Robbins, S. V. Peach,
W. B. Smith, Edward Quenell, William Lammers, and Jaobb:)Miller.
BILLS AND CLAIMS
A bill from Swanson and Shomar in the amount of $45 for repairs to the auto of A. H.
Wansmaker was presented and read. It was moved by Councilman Quenell and seconded by Council-
man Robbins that said bill be paid,.%upon presentation of a proper claim and vouoher. Upon Roll
Call Councilmen Robbins, Peach, Smith, Quenell and Miller voted in the affirmative, and CoOncil-
man Miller in the negative. Motion declared carried.
Authority To Draw Warrant::
It was moved by Councilman Quenell and seconded by Councilman Peach that the Mayor and the
City Clerk be authorized to draw a warant upon the proper fund in payment of the above claim.
Upon Roll Call Councilmen Robbins, Peach, Smith, Quenell and Lammers voted in favor thereof, and
Councilman Miller voted in the negative. Motion declared carried.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS
City Clerk:
The City Clerk reported that he had drawn a warrant in favor of Mrs. Emma E. Thompson in
the amount of $50 for right of way as authorized by the City Council.
Copy of Letter to National Paper Products Company and reply•
This City Clerk reported that he had written to the National Paper Products Company rel-
ative to the semi: -annual payment of water rental as follows:

Attention Mr. 0. C. Schoenwerk.
Gentlemen:
The City Council has directed me to call your attention to the matter of the se*i-annual
payment of water rental or lease, which, apparently, was due April let of this year.
If this is in order we will be pleased to have your check for the amount.

Also that the following reply had been received.
