Councilman Miller expressed himself as notbeing in favor of purchasing a big truck, and
Councilman Aldrich stated that he had no further report to make.
MOTION BY COUNCILMAN ROBBINS: It was moved by Councilman Robbins that the city purchase
a two ton truck tnd^ithat the vompany furnishing said truck submit the contract to be referred
to the Attorney General for approval before contract takes effect. The motion however, received
no second.
TRANSPORTATION F'OR APPRAISERS;
City Attorney Scott, bring up the matter of transportation for the Board of Appraisers
for condemnation suit, it was moved by Councilman Aldrich and seconded by Councilman Lammers,
that City Engineer W. J. Sadler be authorized to arrange for necessary transportation for
said appraisers and himself. Upon nbll call, all five councilmen present voted in favor thereof
and Motion was declared carried.

The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session
this 16th day of April,19290 at 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambe4- of the City Ball, Mayor George
Bangerter presiding.
ROLL CALL
Upon roll call, there were present Mayor Geoge Bangerter, City Clark C. F�. Christian,
and Councilmen William Lammers, Jacob Miller, Barry W. Robbins, Clark Aldrich and S. V. Peach.
READING OF MINUTES
The minutes of the regular session of April 2nd, 1929 were read and approved as read.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Councilman Peach, of Special Nominating Committee reported that, after considering.
several candidates, they had decided to recommend Mr. W. B. Smith for councilman from the 3rd ward
to succeed Peter A. Manson, deceased.

It was moved by Councilman Peach anirounoilman Miller that nominations be closed, and that the

call, all five Councilmen present doted in the affirmative, and the motion was declared carried.
The Clerk thereupon cast the unanimous vote of the City Council as directed, and Mr. Smith was then
called before the council and duly sworn in.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS
From City Engineer
City Engineer Sadler presented tyro deeds for right-of-way for an extension dfrRa.
pipe -line, together with the following communication:
"To the Mayor &.City Council.
Gentlemen;
I have staked out the ditch for the 4" Water Main Extension in the National City
Addition and McPherson ot. in the Eisenbeis Addition.
In order to faciliate matters I got Mr. Boulton to have a five foot strip off Lot 1-
Blk. 3 deeded to the City and 2r. Peak a strip 10 ft. wide across Lots 1 & 2 and a piece -of Lots 3-
7.5x10' all in Blk 317 Eisenbeis Addition.
These deeds have been approved by Mr. Scott City Attorney and are now on file in the
City Clerk's office. These deeds should be recorded.
I have ordered the .material for this work and a requisition is attached to this report.
