Minutes of Recess Meeting, March 29, 1929 REQUISITIONS Requisition for supplies for the City Water Department was presented and read as follows: 1000 ft. 3/4" Galv. Pipe Upon motion by Councilman Quenell, seconded by Councilman Peach, said requisition was granted. ADDITIONAL FUNDS.FOR CITY ENGINEER Councilman Quenell suggested that provision should be made for additional funds for a City Engineer. He then moved, seconded by Councilman Robbins, that the City Attorney be instructed to draw an Or er ec Wring an emergency to provide funds fora payment of salary for a City Engineer. Uponrollcall, all six councilmen voted in favor thereof and motion declared carried. COMMITTEE REPORTS Building Committeet In the matter of the building permit requested by W. A. Myers, for the Zee Tai Company, Councilman Lammers stated that there would be no increased fire hazard, that it would improve the appearance of the building, and that a stair- way was necessary to reach the second story of the building. He then moved, second- ed by Councilman Peach, that the pormit be granted. Motion carried. REPORT ON SEPTIC TANK LEAK Councilman Lamers reported that the overflow from a septic tank in the neigh- borhood of F and Willow Streets was oreating a condition that should be remedied, and the Mayor stated that he would notify the Health Officer, and that it would be also referred to the Harbor and Health Committee. COYNE ADDRESSES COUNCIL Mr. P. M. Coyne, ex -councilman at large, who was an interested spectator, was invited to address the council, and he responded happily that while he was glad to be present, he was pleased to be outside of the rail, instead of inside. ADJOURNMENT Upon motion of eouncilman Quenell, seconded by Councilman Peach, the Council adjourned. M., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, Mayor Bangerter presiding. ROLL CALL. Upon roll call, there were present Mayor George Bangerter, City Attorney James W. B. Scott, City Clerk, C. F.
