Communication from J. J. Smith was presented and read as follows:
To the Mayor and City.Council
Gentlemen:
Some months ago in compliance with an ordinance passed by you that all electricians working
as such in the City of Port Townsend pay the city a license fee in the sum of $50.00, which was
paid by me, and since then I find that said ordinanoe is null and void, so I am. now asking
that the City of Port Townsend refund my money.

WATER FOR POST OFFICE BUILDING:
Proposals in quadruplicate to furnish the post office building with water were presented '
and referred to the Water Committee.

It was moved by Councilman Lammers, and seconded by -Councilman Poach, that the Requisi-
tion be granted. Upon roll call, all six councilmen present voted in favor thereof, and Motion
was declared carried.

Gentlemen:
The attached requisition ooVers parts of air valves and blow -offs injured during the
recent cold spell and are required for replacement.
Under a previous requisition a certain type'of telephone Was ordered 'at the suggestion .
of the United States Forest Service. After the 'phone was received these instruotions'were
changed by the Department, requiring a different type of telephone. We are therefore, in-
cluding in the requisition the set required and will return to the, manufacturer the parts
previously shipped, which cannot be used in the new installation, and for which the City
will receive credit.

Plans and specifications for appurtenances to the City Lake were now presented, to-

We beg to submit to you herewith the'Plans and opeoifications for the proposed work
at City Lake. The plan of the ecreen chamber is an advance copy and is'not quite complete
as to reinforcing details but these will be available by the time the Notice to Contractors
is published in the paper. We -are arranging to send eight sets of the Plans and opeoifica-
tions to Port Townsend for dibtributionttoCContraotors.
Kindly advise this office of the hour and date set for opening of bids so that we can
fill-in this information in the sets held for distribution hare.

Appurtenances to City Lake
Notice to Contractors.
Sealed Proposals addressed to the Mayor and City Council'of the City of Port Townsend,
Washington, and endorsed "Proposal For Constructing Appurtenances To City Lake" will be
received in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, rort Townsend, Washington, until
7:30 P. M. on the 29th day of March, 1929, and at that time will be publicly opened and read
in the Council Chamber at the City Hall, Port Townsend.
This Improvement calls for the construction of 12uu root feeder line into City Lake
and a screen chamber. The work is located approximately 10 miles mouth of the City of Port
Townsend.
