Gentlemen: Permission is requested to do ,the following work and building construction on Lot 2, Block 41, Original Townsite, to -wit: Tear down and remove the old frame building on the property owned build the Port Townsend brick tu- an ary and to remove the second story of their brick building. To build an addition of boximatel concrete oonstruotion to the present brick building to.make a one story660OO,lding, approximately 60 x 60 feet in dimensions. Estimated cost of said construction, $ Also to build a concrete walk along said property on Adams Street, 60 feet in length and 12'feet wide. Watkins It was moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Peach that the permit be ix councilmen present voted in favor thereof, and Motion was granted. Upon roll call all s declared carried. CHARLES BREWER PERMIT: Referring back to the application of Charles Brewer to move gasoline tanks and pumps, it was moved by Councilman Robbins, seconded by Councilman Lammers, that the permit be granted. Upon roll call, all six councilmen present voted in favor thereof, and the Motion was declared carried. MISCELLANEOUS COMMUNICATIONS. From A. B. Lowenstein: Communication from A. B. Lowenstein was presented and read as follows, to -wit: Port Townsend, Wash., Mar. 15,1929 Hon. Mayor and City Council Port Townsend, Washington Gentlemen: The writer has been informed of your intention to improve that portion of Cosgrove Street lying to the north of lots seven and eight, block nine of Al Pettygrove's Addition; recently acquired by the writer. I believe that the inadequate and poor condition of the existing street has already been called to your attention, also the fact that the present street does not follow its proper boundaries and runs too close to the writer's property. In this connection, I would appreciate word from you as to the exact status of your plane and also what grade for the street will be established. The latter is important at the present time, since the writer intends improving the grounds of his property, vommene- ing Monday, March 18. This will include the leveling and filling of my property, as well as the construction of a driveway and walks.
