If the extension onto Front Street is allowed I will leave a driveway 10 feet wide between the hotel annex, when constructed, and the building to be removed. Sadler, City Eng., was presented and read as follows, to -wit: Port Townsend, Wash., March 4, 1929 To the Mayor and City Council, Gentlemen: I herewith submit tracing andform of agreement for the 4" water main extension on Third Street in the National City Addition; McPherson and 4th Streets in the Eisenbeis Addition. The tracing should be signed by the Mayor and the City Clerk and returned to this office for records I would also like to have the tracings for the Lawrence St. extension and the Third St. exten- sion signed and returned to this office. Yours truly, W. J. Sadler, City Engineer. Said communication was referred to the Water Committee'. EXTENSION OF TIME ACCOUNT OF LORD'S LAKE RESERVOIR. The City Clerk presented the following communications relative to application for extension of time on the Lord's Lake reservoir project, to -wit: Copy of Letter forwarded to Supervisor of Hydraulics. Port Townsend, Wash. February 27,1929 Mr. R. K. Tiffany, State Supervisor of Hydraulics, Dept. of Conservation and Development, Oly:ppia, Wash. Dear Sir: - Application is hereby reseputfully made for an extension of time for the corimencement and completion of construction under Reservoir Permit No. 62 (Lord's Lake), as follows: Time of commencing construction, to January 1, 1935. Time of completing construction, to January 1, 1940. In support of the foregoing application we beg to say that this part of the Big Quilcene River Water Extension project has not yet been financed. The construction of the pipe line and di— version dam of said project, which has been completed, and the development of "City Lake" reservoir, which is now imperative, will practically exhaust all funds available for construction at the pres- ent time. Daly Jr. brought up a ma er o a petition for the vacation of a portion of a street in Johnston'a Addition, which was presented to the Council several months ago and asked that the Council take some action in the matter. City Engineer to give grade. Councilman Quen&11 asked for the services of the City Engineer to o tain the grade on Adams Street between Water and Washington Streets. To Set grade on Adams Street from Plater St. to Clay St. It was moved by Councilman Robbins, seconded by Councilman Peach that the City Engineer give the grades on Adams Street from Water Street to Clay Street. Motion carried, upon roll call, all six councilmen present voting in favor thereof. 8
