RESOLUTIM DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION.
A resolution declaring the result of the election in accordance with the foregoing statement
was now introduced and rend as follows, to -wit:
RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION.
WHEREAS: The election returns of the Giunicipal Election hold in the City of Port Townsend, on
the 4th day of December, 1926, said date being the Tuesday after the first Monday in December in
said year 1928, for the election of persons to fill the offices of Mayor, City Attorney, City Clerk
City Treasurer, Councilman at Large, Councilman for the First Ward, Councilman for the Second Ward,
and a Councilman for the Fourth Ward, have been duly and regularly filed with the City Clerk of
said City, and by him brought before the City Council of said City, and
1141EREAS: The said election returns on this 18th day of December, 1928, at n regular meeting of
said City Counoil of said,:City of Port Townsend, have been duly canvassed and the attached state-
ment of said canvass containing the whole number of votes oast at said election, the number cast fo
any one person for any office and the names of the persons elected and to vrliat office they are elec-
ted, has been duly'made and signed by the presiding officer of the City Council, to -writ; George Ban-
gerter, Mayor, and attested by C. F. Christian, City Clerk and have been filed with said City Clerk
AND I%HEREAS: By said Statement of Canvass aforesaid, it appears: -
That for the office of Mayor, George Bangerter has received a majority of the whole number of
votes cast, and the highest number cast for any one person, that is to say, he has received 393 vo-
tes out of a total of 524 cast for said office of 101ayor.
That for the office of City Attorney, Jas. IN. B. Scott has received a majority of the whole
number of votes cast and the highest number cost for any one person, that is to say, he has receiv-
ed 302 votes out of a total of 524 cast for the office of City Attorney.
That for the office of City Clerk, C. F. Christian has received a majority of the whole number
of votes onst and the highest number cast for any one person, that is to say, he has received 431
votes out of a total of 524 cost for the office of City Cleric.
That for the office of City Treasurer, Grace Pitcher has received a majority of the whole num-
her of votes cast and the highest number cast for any one person, that is to say, she has received
420 votes out of a total of 524 vast for the office of City Treasurer.
That for the office of Councilman at Large, Harry W. Robbins has received a majority of the
whole number of votes cast, and the highest number cast for any one person, that is to say, he has
received 403 votes out of a total of 524 cast for the office of Councilman at Large.
That for the office of Councilman Bar the First Ward, Clark Aldrich has received a majority of
the whole number of votes cast and the highest number cast for any one person, that is to say, he
has received GO votes out of a total of 81 cast for the office of Councilman for the First Ward.
That for the office of Councilman for the Second Ward, S. V. Peach has received a majority of
the whole number of votes cast and the highest number cast for any one person, that is to say, he
has received 70 votes out of a total 103 cyst for tine office of Councilmen for the Second Ward.
That for the office of Councilman for the Fourth Ward, ';h. Lammers Sr. has received a majority
of the whole number of votes cast and the highest number cast for any one person, th„t is to say,he
has received 110 votes out Of a total of 137 cast for the office of Councilman for the Fourth Ward.
THEREFORE: By the City Council of the City of Port Towrnsend, on this 18th day of December,
1928, It is Resolved, Ordered and Decreed;
That the said George Bangerter has been duly and regularly elected Mayor 8f the City of Port
Tosnsend,
That the said Jas. B. Scott has been duly and regularly elected City Attorney of the City
of Port Townsend.
That the said C. F. Christian has been duly and regularly elected City Clerk of the City of
Port Tovmsend.
That the said Grace Pitcher has been duly and regularly elected City Treasurer of the City of
Port Townsend.
That the said harry 7.. Robbins has been duly and regularly elected Councilman -at -Large for the
City of Port Tovmsend.
That the said Clark Aldrich has been duly and regularly elected Councilman for the First Ward,
City of fort Townsend,
That the said S. V. Peach has been duly and regularly elected Councilman for tine Second Ward,
City of Fort Townsend,

TO FILE EASEMENTS.
City Attorney Scott suggested that the City Clerk be instructed to file for record all instrument
for pipe line right-of-way and that authority be granted the }Mayor and City Clerk to issue warrant
in payment of the necessary fees.

be instructed to file with the County Auditor, for record, all instruments:now in his possession

way not yet secured..

t was moved by Councilman Manson, seconded by Councilman Quenell that the City Attorney pro -
aced to bring condemnation proceedings immediately, against all right-of-way owners who will not
promptly convey the right-of-way to the. City, for a reasonable consideration. Upon roll call,
Councilmen Gerson, Manson, Quenell, Lammers and Miller voted in the affirmative and Councilman !'
Coyne in the negative. Motion declared carried.

It was moved by Councilman h'fanson and seconded by Councilman Coyne that the Council recess for
15 minutes. Motion declared carried and recess declared.
