Port Townsend, Wash., October 3, 1928. Pursuant to order of the Council, the Cityc:Council re -convened in regular session this 3rd day of October, 1928, at"1.•p.m.l:., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall. ROLL CALL Upon roll call there were present Mayor George Bangerter, City Attorney Jac. W. B. Scott, City Clerk C. F. Christian, and Councilmen Jacob Miller, P. M. Coyne, Harry Chapelle, Max Gerson, P. A. Manson and William Lair,:ners. CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF ORDINANCES. Ordinance.'065. Ordinance numbered 965 and entitled "An Ordinance fixing and adopting the budget for the City of Port Toirasend for the year 1929," was now introduced and read in full for the first reading. It was then moved by Councilman Gerson and seconded by Councilman Manson that the first reading be considered the second reading and that the third reading be by title only. Upon roll call, all six councilmen present, namely: Miller, Coyne, Chapelle, Gerson, Manson and Lammers, voted in favor them of and motion was declared carried. The City Clerk then read the Ordinance by title only for the second reading. Ordinance #965 passed , It was then moved by Councilman Gerson, seconded by Councilman Boyne that said ordinance as read do now pass. Upon roll call, all six councilmen present voted in favor thereof and motion was de- clared carried. Ordinance J966. Ordinance numbered 966 and entitled 'An Ordinance making and fixing the tax levy for the City of Port Townsend, for taxes for the year 1929," was next introduced and read in full for the first read ing. It was then moved by Councilman Gerson and seconded by Councilmen Manson that the first read- ing be considered the second reading and that the third reading be by title only. Upon roll call, all six councilmen present voted in favor thereof and motion was declared carried. The City Clerk read the Ordinance by title only for the third reading and it was moved by Councilman Gerson, second od by Councilman Manson that this ordinance as read by the clerk do now pass. Upon roll call, all six councilmen present voted in favor thereof and motion was declared carried. Per Diem of Engineer, Water Dept. It was moved by Councilman Manson and seconded by Councilman Miller that the per diem of Engines for the Water Department be not less than $8.00 per day nor more than $10.00 per day. Upon roll cc all six councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. ADJOURNII;ENT.
