That nothing in this ordinance shall be construed to prohibit any one doing wiring in his own home where he actually resides or intends to reside as soon as completed. Section 5 That any person, firm or corporation violating any of the pro visions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon convic- tion thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding One Hundred Dollars,0100.00), or imprisonment in the city jail, not exceeding thirty days, or both such fine and imprisonment . Section 6. That this ordinance shall be published once in the Port Town- send Leader, and to be in force and take effect five days from and after such pub- lication. It was moved by Councilman Gerson, seconded by Councilman Coyne, that the City Treasurer be authorized to purchase two bonds of the first issue of General Municipal Bonds, with funds of the Bond Redemption Fund, 2nd issue of bonds, as'an investment for said fund, and that the City Clerk be instructed to so notify the City Treasurer. Upon roll call, all six councilmen present voted in the affirma- tive and motion was declared carried. ADJOURITMENT . ROLL CALL Upon roll call, there were present City Attorney Jas. W. B. Scott, City Clerk C. F. Christian, and Councilmen Max Gerson, Peter A. Manson, Edw. quenell, 19illiam Lammers and Harry Chapelle. MINUTES READ A1TD APPROVED The minutes of the regular session of June 5th were read and approved as read. REPORTS OF STANDING COVM-11T`1'EES. Councilman Manson, of the hater Committee, reported that owing to the absence of Mr. C. L. Peach, they were unable to take up the matter of compensation for righ - of -way and committee was granted further time. •In the matter of water rates to consumers outside of the City Limits, the Com- mittee was also granted further time. CoTnvAUNICAT IONS. Applications for building permits were presented, read and disposed of as fol- lows: From. C. L.
