It'was moved by Councilman Gerson, seconded by Councilman Manson that all bills
as read be paid and that the Mayor and the City Clerk execute warrants for same up-
on the proper funds. Councilman Quenell objected to the ,claims'•:of Paul Hinton
for labor and for mileage, whereupon the Mayor declared the motion out of order.
It was then moved by Councilman Quenell, seconded by Councilman Lammers, 'that
all the bills be paid except the claims of 1`aul Hinton for labor and for 'mileage,
which will be considered later, and that the Mayor and the City Clerk execute war-
rants upon the proper funds in payment of same. Upon roll call, Councilmen :•Mil-
ler, Coyne, Chapelle, Manson, Quenell and Lammers voted in favor thereof and Coun-
cilman Gerson in the negative. Motion declared carried.
CLAIMS WNSIDERED SEPARATELY.
The following claims were then considered separately:
Upon the 01 n is Gravity Water Fund, to -wit: 100.00
Paul Iinton, Claim for labor
It was moved by Councilman Coyne, seconded by Councilman Manson that the
bill - be paid and that a warrant be drawn upon the proper fund in payment of same.
At this time, City Attorney Scott rendered a verbal opinion.that the claim was le-
gal as it came under the classificationof labor. Upon roll call,,Cou,ncilmen Mil
-
ler,.Coyne, Chapelle, Gerson, and -Manson voted in the affirmative and Councilmen
Quenell and Lammers in the negative. Motion declared carried.
Upon the Glympic Gravity "ater fund:

It was moved by Councilman Gerson, seconded by Councilman Chapelle that the
bill be paid and that a warrant be drawn upon the proper fund in payment of same.
Upon roll call Councilmen Miller, Coyne, Chapelle, Gerson, and Manson voted in fav
thereof and Councilmen Quenell and Lammers voted in the negative. Motion declare
carried.
Upon the Water Extension Construction r'und:
Central Inspection Bureau, Inspection of material at shop 0527.28
It was moved by Councilman Quenell, seconded by Councilman Lammers that th
bill•:be paid and that a warrant be drawn upon the water Extension Construction Fun
in payment of same.
A substitute motion was offered by Councilman Manson, seconded by Council-
man Qerson, that the bill be referred to the, City Attorney for his, opinion. Upon
roll call, all seven councilmen voted in favor of the substitute motion and motion
was declared carried.
Baar and Cunningham Bill.
It was moved by Councilman Manson, seconded by Councilman Gerson, that the
City Council recess for ten minutes to consider the bill of Baar and Cunningham fo:
supplies and extra services in the amount of b825.97, which had been, by order of
the Council, referred to the Council as a whole. Motion carried.
RE-COI7VEPTED AFTER RECESS.
Council re -convened at expiration of recess and upon roll .call, there were
present Mayor George Bangerter, City Attorney, Jas. `Y. B. Scott, City Clerk C, F.

The bill of Bear and Cunningham, with the item for personal services strick-
en out, and in the total net amount of $493.47, was now presented and read in full.
It was moved by Councilman Gerson, seconded by Councilman Manson that the bill be
paid and that a warrant be drawn upon the 4later Extension Construction Fund in pay-
ment of same. Upon roll call, all seven councilmen :,voted in favor thereof and mo-
tion was ,.declared carried.
REPORTS OF
OFFICERS.
City Attorney Scott reported verbally that suit had
been brought for right-
of-way, against Aug. Bense, et.ux., and Glen L. Searles, Bt.ux.;
also that in the
matter of the assignment of the McCormick Lumber Co. suit,
application had been mad
that it be continued for 60 days.
It was moved by Councilman Gerson, seconded by Councilman Coyne that the ac-
tion of the City Attorney be approved
by the City Council.
Motion carried.

The City Clerk reported that the contract for the removal of garbage had
been duly executed; that a warrant had been drawn upon the
