ORDINANCE NO. 1622 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND GRANTING OF A LEASE ON A PORTION OF THE CITY HALL BUILDING AND ON THE FIRE BELL TOWER TO THE JEFFERSON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY FOR A TERM OF NINETY-NINE YEARS, COMMENCING AUGUST 1, 1971 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POUT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are here and hereby authorized and directed to execute a lease of that portion of the City Hall now occupied by the Jefferson County Historical Society, and the Fire Bell Tower situate on Tyler Street between Washington and Jefferson Streets for a term of ninety-nine years, commencing August 1, 1971, at a rental of $1.00 per year, subject to termination of the City Hall lease in the event said City ball can not be maintained oe shall become unsafe during the term of the lease, the lessee to be the Jefferson County Historical Society, a Washington Corporation, and a true copy of which lease is on file with the City Clerk and by this rference incorporated herein the same as though a part hereof. Section 2. This lease is granted pursuant to R.C.W. 35.24.300, and R.C.W. 35.24.290 (9). Section 3. This ordincnace shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in the form and manner required by law.
