(c) No installation of any side sewer below grade as
above prescribed nor any installation of any backwater
valve shall be approved by the superintendent until the
application has been executed and a grade release in
form prescribed bythe superintendent agreeing to save
the City of Port Townsend harmless from all damage resulting
therefrom, together withthe sum of $1.50 to cover the
costs of recording same, have been delivered to the City.

Section 6.05: Side sewers shall be .laid out not less than 30
inches from any foundation wall, outer lines of any footings, pil-
ings or building supports.
Section 6.06: Except as provided in Section 7.05 hereof,
minimum cover for side sewers shall be 3 1/2 feet in outside park-
ing strip, two feet in inside parking strip, 2 1/2 feet in a public
alley at the property, 2 1/2 feet where side sewer crosses under
a ditch, and le inches on private property.
Section 6.07: All connections shall be made to the tee or
stub out assigned at the time the permit is issued, and no side
sewer belonging to another owner shall be used unless written per-
mission for such use accompanies the side sewer al# ication.
Section 6.08: If a building sewer is to serve more than one
property, by joint agreement of the owners, an approved document
insuring that all properties involved shall have perpetual use of
the side sewer, and having provisions for maintenance and for
access for repair purposes, shall be signed by the recorded owner.
This document shall be notarized and recorded with the County
Auditor and shall be referred to as an "Easement."
Section 6.09: Excavation should be made at the measure-
ment given by the superintendent at the time the permit is issued,
but the side sewer contractor shall prospect two feet in all direc-
tions from the distance and depth given.
Section 6.10. If a side sewer is to serve two, three or four
houses, the use of 6" pipe shall be specified. A 6" cleanout
extending to within 12 inches of the ground surface will be required
at the wye where the upper -grade connections are made.
Section 6.11% If more than four buildings are to be connected
to a single side sewer, the superintendent may require plans pre-
