HomeMy WebLinkAbout01840n ORDINANCE NO,/_3,S",� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE OLYMPIC GRAVITY WATER FUND TO THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND OF THE CITY, SAID TRANSFER NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM OF $10,000.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER TO ACCEPT SUCH TRANSFER AND DRAW WARRANTS THEREON, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REFUNDING OF SUCH FUNDS FROM THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND TO THE OLYMPIC GRAVITY WATER FUND. WHEREAS, it appears that the revenues anticipated for the Current Expense Fund of the City for the year 1959 will be inadequate to balance the expenditures from said Fund until on or about May 1, 1959, and WHEREAS it appears that the Olympic Gravity Water Fund of said City has sufficient funds to enable the temporary transfer from the said Olympic Gravity Water Fund to the Current Expense Fund; NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, in regular session assembled, as follows: Section 1. The City Clerk and the City Treasurer of the City of Port Townsend are hereby authorized and directed to make such transfer of funds from the Olympic Gravity Water Fund of said City to the Current Expense Fund of said City as may be necessary to honor warrants duly drawn on the Current Expense Fund, said transfers to be made from time to time as may be required, but in no event to exceed a total amount of $10,000.00. Section 2. The City Clerk is here and hereby authorized to draw and issue warrants on the funds provided by Section 1 hereof, and the City Treasurer is here and hereby authorized to honor such warrants from:the funds so authorized to be transfered. Section 3. All funds transfered from the Olympic Gravity Water Fund to the Current Expense Fund pursuant to this Ordinance shall be refunded and reimbursed to the said Olympic Gravity Water Fund from the Current Expense Fund on or before May 1, 1959, and the City Clerk'and City Treasurer are here and hereby authorized to make such refund and reimburse- ment. -1-
