ORDINANCE NO. 1337
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Townsend,
Washington, requiring a permit for the
construction of buildings or additions to
buildings.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Prior to the commencement of construction of any
building, shed or structure, or any addition to an existing
building, shed or structure, there shall be obtained by the
owner or agent for the owner of lands on which said construction
is contemplated, a building permit.
Section 2. Clerk of said City is authorized to issue building
permits upon the direction of the City Council, and the Council
shall consider and grant or reject each such permit for which
application is duly and properly made.
Section 3. Application for building permits shall be made
to the City Clerk, and no application shall be considered by the
Council unless it shall have been presented in triplicate copies
to the Clerk at least two days prior to the regular meeting of
the City Council at which said application is to be presented.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
Read for the first time at a regular session of the Council
on September 17, 1957.
Read for the second and third times at a regular session of
the Council on , 1957.
Passed by the Council and approved and signed by the Mayor
on , 1957.
