ORDINANCE NO. 1333
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Townsend,
Washington, amending Section 1, of Ordinance
NO. 1255, passed March 21, 1950 and approved
March 22, 1950; thus increasing fees charged
for sewer connections from $40.00 to $ 75.00.
WHEREAS increased costs of materials and labor have
resulted in greater costs to the city for the repair of streets after
sewer connections have been made, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Port Townsend,
Washington, as follows:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 1255 of the city, passed
on March 21, 1950, and approved by the Mayor on March 22, 1950, is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 1. That for the purpose of regulating and
minimizing damages to city senors and streets there is hereby provided
a fee of ti?75.00 for each sewer connection hereafter made, for which a
permit to connect shall be issued, and the said fee shall be paid
before any permit shall be issued. Said fee is for the purpose of
repairing damage to the city streets occasioned by said connection
before work shall commence.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective five
days from and after its passage, approval and publication as required
by lave.
INTRODUCED AND READ FOR THE FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIDIES,
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL AND APPROVE!) BY ITS MAYOR at a regular meeting
of the City Council held on May 72 1957.
