THE CITY WT?P;CIL OF THE CITY OF P05T T0'"1•'SKID DO ORDAIF AS FOLLOi"S: Section 1. The rr.er,.bership in the Port To-.ynsend Volunteer Fire Departn.ent, as noa createdand existing - under previous ordinance, be and the same is hereby limited to not to exceed tyrerty-five (25) firemen for each one thousand (1,000) population or fraction thereof of the City of Port Townsend. Section 2. In order to make provision for the relief and eor.:pensation and to provide protection for all members of the Port Townsend Volunteer Fire De-.rartment and their families from death or disability arising in the performance of their duties as firemen, all the pro visions of Chapter 261 of the Lavrs of 1"ashtncton enacted in the year 1945 (excepting those fe_�.tures as pertain to the pension or retirement of volunteer firemen) are herebv referred to and by this reference made'a part of this ordinance as fully and effectually as if set forth herein. Section 3. There is hereby created and established a Board of Trustees for the administration of this ordinance. Such Board shall consist of the Mayor, City Clerk, Chairr:an of the Fire and Light Committee of the City Council, Fire Chief and one (1) member of the Volunteer Fire Der.artmert to be elected by the members of such Volunteer Fire Dw artr:ent fcr a term of one (1) year and M
