WIPEMLS, in the construction of the nublie improvement known as '4iccess Road
to Fort Warden - Cherry Street connection I" Port Townsend" as a ;Works Progress
Administration project under the sponsorship of the 707 of Port Tosnsond, it
appears that a portion of the wood pipe of the distribution system of said city
must be replaced by cast-iron pipe in ordr.r to comply with standard and approved
plans and specificatijns, and,
;7fiuRZ,,S, under pres•"nt and oxistinr rules and regulations of the Works
Progress Administration, the cost of replacing existing facilities must be
at the expense of the sponsor, and,
iiHERE 3, it is estimated that the cost of purchasing; cast-iron water pipe
to replace existing; wood pipe so as to meet the forego nC requirenant is the sum
of y1200.00, and,
hERTAS, at the time of adoption of the official badrot for the Olymnie
Gravity ';later fund of the City of Port Townsend for the year 1941, such expenditure
was not forseen nor contemplated and that an omertency n.vr exists requiring the
immediate appropriation of money for the aforesaid purpose, therefore,

fund of the City of Port UwAsend for expenditure Awing the n-•ar 1941, the sum
of "1200.00, for the purpose of purchasint; such cast-iron pipe as is necessary
to replace existing wood pipe which will be removed in the incident construction.

hereby authirl,od to draw emorponcy vµrrants upon the Olympic Gravity ;rater Fund
not exceeding the hereinbofore designated amount, upon the presentation of properly
approved vouchers.
