HomeMy WebLinkAbout01455■ glop 0 0 AW ORDINANOH N0. ioi3S An ordinance granting to Paget Sound Pilots, a voluntary association of licensed pilots under Chapter 18, Laws of Washington, 1935, their successors and assigns, the right to construct, maintain, and operate a wharf, pier, or landing place in said City of Port To=sond, TIM CITY CODNCIL OF TIM CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWSs St pion It That there is hereby granted to the Puget Sound Pilots, a voluntary association of licensed pilots under Chapter 18, Laws of Washington, 1935, their successors or assigns, the right to construct, operate, maintain and remove a wharf not to exceed ten (10) feet in width, with such suitable approaches and such other structures as may be necessary, in the City of Port Townsend, for a porlod of ten years from and after the date of this ordinance, the location thereof being substantially as followss Extending southwesterly from the southerwesterly boundary line of the U. S. Quarantine Station property parallel with the southerly boundary of Jefferson Street, a distance of ap- proximately 50 feet over and across a portion of Jackson Street. Section 2t That said wharf and its approaches shall be maintained in a substantial and workmanlike manner, and shall be subject to the inspection of and approval of the City Council of the City of Port Townsend. Section 31 If, at any time, the City Council deems it advisable to improve said streets by relocating, regrading, or in any manner changing or altering the same, the grantees, their successors or assigns, shall upon written notice given by said City Countil, immediately so move, change or alter their said wharf, at their own expense, so as to conform to such change in said streets. Section 41 That for the rights granted the said Puget Sound Pilots, a voluntary association of licensed pilots, their suocessors or assigns, shall pay to the City of Port Townsend, the sum ofDollars 5 per ana n for each and every year during the term of said franchise for the rights and privileges granted herein, such sum shall be payable yearly in advance; and that in case the said grantees, their successors or assigns, shall
