2. This lease shall ue operative and irr force for a
period of thirty (30) years, ueginnind on the i0irst day of June,
1928, and expiring on the 61ut «ay of ,.zLy, 1908; provided, that
if the portion of said dater -works and system hereoy leased and
descriued in ordinance rlo. 947, known as the "Big Quilcene ;later
Extension Project," shall not have peen completed on or before
the first day of June, 1928, then the Corm of the Lease shall
commence on the day the .gig 0,1zil.cene ':iuter Extension Project is
completed and has oegun to supply water to its full reason -ovule
capacity, and shall terminate the same length of time after the
31st day of Tray, 1958, as the completion of said project shall be
delayed oeyond June First, 1928.
5. the lessee shall have full possession, control,
use and enjoyment of said part of said water -works and system here-
by leased throughout the period of said lease, except and provided
that the City reserves from said water supply flowing through said
water -works and system a quantity of water sufficient to serve the
demands of all present and future consumers served by the city,
either within or without the limits of said City, including such
water as may oe needed by the City for its own purposes, not exceed-
ing, however, at any time, the maximum amount of lour billion
(4,000,000) gallons of water in any one day, which water so reserv-
ed shall be taken oy the City at the city limits, oy the city there
maintaining a connection with that part of the water -works and sys-
tem so leased ;/l Provided, however, that the City,•at its.option, may
make one connection with said water -works and system at a point
outside of the city limits for the purpose of obtaining water to
supply to tiadlock and Irondale, which •rater so supplied to Hadlock
and Irondale shall be a part of and included in the lour !A llion
(4,000,000) gallons of water reserved uy the City as aforesaid.
