ORDINANCE No.
An Ordinance malcing the Tax Levy for the City of Port Town-
send, for the year 1918,
The City Council of the City.of Port Tovisend, Wa hington,
do ordain as follows:
Section 1. That there are hereby levied upon all the taxable
property in the City of Port Toim send, Washington, the following
sums for the different purposes designated, and the rate of taxation
upon.the assessed valuation for such purposes is as follows:
First: For the payment of current expenses of said city..and
for the Current Expense Fund, the suin of Sixteen Thousand'Figh' ,
Hundred Dollars (�16,800.00), and the rate of taxation for said
fund is hereby.fixed at ••twelve (12) mills on the dollar.
Seoond:-For the payment of interest oA Bonds, first issue,
the sum of Four Thousand Two Hundred Dollars (�4,200.00)3, and the
rate of taxation for said purpose is hereby fixed at three.(3�.
mills on the dollar.
Third: For the payment'of interest on Bonds, second issue,
the.sum of One Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty-five.Dolla�s
($1,225.00), and the rate of taxation for said purpose is.hereby
fixed.at seven -eights (7/8) of a mill on the dollar.
Section 2. That there is hereby 1@vied upon all the taxable
property in the City of Port Tosm send, Washington, for the purpose
of maintaining a public library, the sum of Fourteen Hundred
Dollars (4'1,400.00), and -gab the rate of -taxation. for said'.purpase
is hereby fixed ate one (1)•mill on .the dollar...
Section 3. That the Myor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to certify to the County Assessor and County
Auditor the foregoing levy as provided by law.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be published in the
i Daily Leader and shall take effect and be in force as provided
by lawn
