This district is to be known as Fire District No. 1. Sec. 2. That the Southerly half of Blocks five (5), six (6), -seven (7.), eight (8), nine (9) and ten (10), shall be knovrm for the purpose of this ordinance as Fire District ?'o. 2. Sec. 3. BUILDIITG ?'AT311IAL. Such, in all cases, shall comply with the folloain;;.specifications: a. A good quality of mortar shall obtain in every casa, therefor clean, sharp grit Sand free from loam or other dirt is required for mortar. b. All Lime used for mortar shall bu of good quality, throuroughly burned and properly slaked before it is mixed with sand. C. Lime Mortar shall be of good quality, thoroughly burned and properly slaked before it is mixed with sand; sla`.•ted limo mortar shall be made of one part of lime paste and not more than four parts of sand. d. Cement Tiortar shall be made of cement and sand in the pro- portion of one part of com.nt and not /nord than .lhreo harts of sand and shall be used in?rnodiately aftar being; mixad. e. Cement And Lime 'iortar shall be made of on3 Tart of slaked • lime paste and one part of cement and n t more than three parts of sand to each, tlee quality of the respective .arts to accord Jith the requir:mants above stated. f. Plain Concrete for foundations and all other construction shall be made of at least one part: of cement, tyro parts of sand and fiva parts of clean broken stone of such size as to pass in anyway through i a two inch ring; or Food clean gravel may be used in the same propor- tion as broken stona. The cement, s::nd and stone or gravel shall be measured and mixed as hereinbefore prescribed for mortar.
