Port Tomisond, Washington, an'i the right to lay down, construct,

Section 1. The City of Port Townsend, Tashington, does hereby
grant to the United States of America a.porpof,ual right of way for t
the .purposes and upon the conditions hereinafter named over that

Soo A That this grant is made for the purpose of allowing the .
said grantee and its lawful authorities to use the same as a passage-
way and, to lay down, construct, maintain, and operate upon the same..

Sec. 3. The City of Port Townsend hereby expressly reserves the

right and authority to declare the said right of way or any part
thereof a public highway and street rovidod,.however, that in
case the same is so doclarod a public highway and streetN the right
and authority of the said grantee to maintain and operate its wires
as aforesaid shall in,no wise be taken away or diminished.
Sec.h.The United ?ttat:es of America is to pay all expenses
the City is put to in granting this right oP way,and is to build and
maintain all fiances necessary to a proper and free use of the same.
