HomeMy WebLinkAbout3295 Amending the PTMC chapter 3.04 to create a separate fund for american rescue act funds within the budget and adding a new sectionOrdinance 3295 Page 1 of 1 Ordinance No. 3295 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AMENDING THE PORT TOWNSEND MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 3.04 TO CREATE A SEPARATE FUND FOR AMERICAN RESCUE ACT FUNDS WITHIN THE BUDGET AND ADDDING A NEW SECTION RECITALS: NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend ordains as follows: The City received $2,755,388 from the United States Government as part of the American Rescue Plan Act. 2. The creation of this fund will allow the City to account for this revenue and ensure that the expenditures are consistent with the American Rescue Plan Act. Sectionl. A new section of the Port Townsend Municipal Code Chapter 3.04 is added as follows: 3.04.035 American Rescue Plan Act Fund. The American Rescue Act Fund is established to account for the revenues and expenditure of American Rescue Plan Act funds Section 2. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the application of the provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days after the date of its publication in the manner provided by law.
