Chair Michelle Sandoval called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
Approval of Minutes: October 30, 2017 Unanimously approved.
David Timmons gave an overview of the Lodging Tax recommendation process and the need for Council to approve budget expenditures to individual recipients. He also reviewed 2018 capital projects and their potential impacts on local tourism. Christina Pivarnik reported on potential bus service to Kingston to coordinate with the new passenger ferry service starting next summer.
Port of Port Townsend Executive Director Sam Gibboney reported on the upcoming Point
Hudson renovations and jetty replacement plans.
The Committee discussed the 2018 budget recommendation of the October 30th meeting. Nathan Barnett moved to reconsider the
motion to approve the 2018 budget that was recommended at the October 30th meeting. Barb Trailer seconded. The
motion was postponed due to Open Public Meeting Act requirements that all business must be related to items published on the agenda.
Next Meeting: A Special Meeting was scheduled for December 12th at 3 p.m.
