Special Meeting (rescheduled from 2-11-19 due to the snow day)
DATE: February 20, 2018 START TIME: 2:30 p.m. LOCATION: City Hall 1st Floor Conference Room MEMBERS PRESENT: Owen Rowe, Ann Raymond, Jacqueline Mention, Kathy Ryan, Sidonie Wilson, Sarah Fairbank, and Robert Gray (City Council Liaison) MEMBERS ABSENT (Excused): Carol Klontz STAFF PRESENT: Library Director Melody Sky Eisler, Finance Director Nora Mitchell

Approval of Minutes: Minutes of October 15, 2018 was approved unanimously.
Draft Internet Use Policy: will be discussed at the April meeting
Discuss 2019 LAB meeting dates and times: a new day and time we set for bi-monthly meetings as the second Thursday of the month at 2:30p.m. Upcoming meeting dates for 2019 are: April 11, June 13, August 8, October 10, December 12
A vote to change meetings to the second Thursday of every other month at 2:30p.m. was approved unanimously.
Community Read 2019: The Library Director gave an overview of the program and all information can be found on the Library’s new website https://ptpubliclibrary.org/library/page/community-read
Review Level of Service Draft from BERK Consulting: Emily Percival form BERK Consulting reviewed their process via Skype of working with the project team to do background research to create a situation assessment and then draft the final report. She also reviewed the financial models and options they will recommend in the final report to City Council. The Library Director shared her outline of next steps to present to the City Manager. The LAB was supportive and the report and the Library Director’s recommendation to follow Option 1.
The LAB board voted to unanimously present this final draft report to City Council on March 4, 2019 and supported the Library Director’s recommendations provided their stylistic editorial suggestions were made to her draft memo.

Adjourn: The meeting was adjourned at 4:25 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday April 11, 2019 at 2:30p.m.
