Scope of Work
Marketing for the City of Port Townsend
June 1 S -December 31, 2009
Launch Way Finding Project
-Finish beta site with PT Chamber members that have lodgings and restaurants
-Launch publicity splash
-Integrate in with JeffConnections.com
Develop new Web site for EnjoyPT.com and integrate with PTGuide.com
-Write copy
-Secure photos
-Integrate video
-Coordinate design and architecture for site
Develop new video for fulfillment purposes and on Web site
Continue work with local marketing partners to encourage use of our unified
collective message of "Life on the other side..." and to promote regular and
consistent communication
-Meet with partners quarterly to determine what they're doing
-Integrate marketing efforts wherever possible
-Work toward coordinated messaging
Destination Marketing
-Strategic planning and implementation
-Media communications
Coordinate with Hill & Knowlton in PR efforts
Respond to media requests
-Creative messages that are consistent and professionally produced
-Determine need and produce collateral materials
-Determine need and coordinate advertising buys and design
-Research as needed
-Newsletters to interested parties as needed (electronically)
-Web site updates and management
Marketing Administration
-Attend LTAC, TCC and OPTC marketing meetings representing City
-Participate onboard for Olympic Culinary Loop
-Manage budget and report to City Manager and LTAC
-Work closely with PT Chamber and VIC for tourism needs, fulfillment of
collateral materials, etc.
Destination Hosting
-Work with marketing partners to assure media, FAM tours, groups and events are
coordinated and welcomed
-Have info packets available as needed for such hosting
