Please feel free to contact Mari Mullen, Executive Director, by email: HUD Application Exhibit I Project Description We propose to contract with a qualified fire sprinkler contractor to design and install a standpipe, and fire sprinkler system servicing the entire Bishop Building not presently serviced by the existing sprinkler system. The Bishop Building is a 16,000 square foot three story building plus full Basement/Business level and houses the sixteen unit Bishop Victorian Hotel on the street and upper levels of the building. The Basement/Business Level uses include; seven commercial rental spaces, a lazge meeting room w/catering kitchen, a tool room and storage room and the heating plant for the business level. I refer you to Exhibits III-1,2,3,and 4 which present schematics of the basement, the Main Level which contains two lodging units and space for three additional hotel units, the third and fourth floors each containing seven hotel suites and housekeeping closets. Currently Suites 25 and 26 on the Main Level are sprinkled. ' The Fox Fire quote provides for the installation of new water line from Washington Street into the basement of the building and the installation of fire sprinkler heads in the storeltool rooms, the Vancouver meeting room and if needed also in the serving kitchen, the hallway serving the seven private offices and the offices themselves in the Basement/Business level. The quote provides coverage throughout the Main Floor including the proposed new hotel units. The quote provides coverage throughout the Second and Third floors which house the hallways and the remaining fourteen hotel suites none of which aze currently sprinkled. We plan to contract with Fox Fire or another reputable firm to install the system in late fall of 2009 or early winter of 2010 as a precursor to a planned expansion program that will take place in 2010-11. Exhibit III-2 presents the current and proposed changes to the Main Floor to accommodate additional hotel units and other activities. Details of the location of sprinkler heads will be finalize in the process leading up to the project's permitting process. {.
