AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ADOPTING THE 1977 BUDGETS
FOR THE GENERAL CITY GOVERNMENT, THE WATER-SEWER
DEPARTMENT, THE EQUIPMENT RENTAL DEPARTMENT AND FOR
FEDERAL SHARED REVENUE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS-
Section 1, Appropriation for the 1977 budget is hereby made
for the General City Government for the purposes and in the amounts
following: For Current Expense, $544,523; for Public Library,
42,733; for City Parks, 22,238; for City Streets and for the City
Street Department, 150,778; for Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund,
$88,200; for the Cumulative Reserve Fund, $14,000; and for the
Arterial Street Fund, $71,000.
Section 2. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1977 budget
the Water-Sewer Department as follows: For Water-Sewer Departmental
operations, $473,078; for 1956 Revenue Bond Redemption, $138,584;
for 1956 Revenue Bond Reserve, $300,000; for 1956 Transmission Line
Replacement, $5459000 and for 1956 Water Works and System Construction,
$9,400.
Section 3. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1977 budget of
the Equipment Rental Department in the sum of $132,765; for the
Equipment Rental Fund.
Section 4. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1977 expenditure
of Federal Shared Revenue from the Federal Shared Revenue Fund in the
sum of $98,185.
Section 5. Due hearing having been had, the preceding four
sectios~'~reof are hereby fixed and adopted as the budget
appropriations for the year 1977 for the City of Port Townsend and
its various utilities, departments and funds.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on December 7, 197R. A
