Blood, Bones & Butter follows the chef Gabrielle Hamilton's extraordinary
journey through the places she has inhabited over the years: the rural kitchen of
her childhood, where her adored mother stood over the six-burner with wooden
spoon in hand; the kitchens of France, Greece, and Turkey, where she was often
fed by complete strangers and learned the essence of hospitality; and the kitchen
of her beloved Italian mother-in-law, who serves as the link between Hamilton's
idyllic past and her own future family.

Description
CHANGELING will meet twice monthly to read and discuss the
plays of William Shakespeare. Readers will alternate roles
scene by scene, “so that everyone gets a chance at the juicy
parts,” Bob DeWeese said. The group will decide together
about which plays to read, and everyone is welcome to join.

Would you like to learn more about how to build effective
relationships with foundation funders? You are invited to a
two-part workshop presented by JCF Executive Director
Siobhan Canty and Randy Pendergrass, former grants manager
for the City of Port Townsend. The first session will focus on
how to find real prospects for your organization and how to
build and sustain relationships with foundations. The second
sessions will focus on how to develop effective proposals. The
sessions will be held February 7 and February 21 from 9 to 11
a.m. each day at the Port Townsend Public Library. Please call

The City of Port Townsend and Northwind Arts Center have
entered into an agreement to provide art for the Port
Townsend Public Library. Art will be provided by local artists
and may be for sale via Northwind at the discretion of each
artist. Shows will be changed at 4-month intervals, and will be
launched with an opening reception at the library. Please

Description
Over the last century, the way we grow, harvest, transport,
and consume food has changed significantly. It’s easy to
overlook the impact this process has on our
environment. Menu for the Future helps you explore the
connection between food and sustainability. Participants learn
more about the many cultural, social, and ecological
implications of what we eat and discuss the importance of our
eating habits. Together, you will discover food choices that are
good for you and the health of our environment not to
mention, the local economy.
NWEI’s self-led discussion courses are designed to spark
shared learning, shared stories, and shared action. Each
course book also includes tips and guidelines to help
facilitators organize a course.

For the Future course book are available in the Table of
Contents.

Description
Join us for the kickoff of the 13th annual Community Read: Leif Whittaker's My
Old Man and the Mountain. Port Townsend Film Festival presents the deeper
story of the greatest Himalayan climb in American mountaineering history
followed by a discussion with Jim and Dianne before the film.

Description Sing-A-Ling gets toddlers, preschoolers, families and the greater
community into our bodies and singing together.
Part story time, part sing-along and fully loaded with laughs, the
select songs and rhyming stories in this show combine finger play,
movement, picture books, uplifting acoustic music and an
engaging, highly-interactive banter between audience and
presenter.
In this early literacy-infused program children (and their
grownups) will create original rhymes and lyrics to traditional
American folk songs, raise their voices to play with the alphabet’s
many amusing sounds, and sing along to the words of favorite
children’s books.

Description "Pappenspiel" is a bicycle-traveling, trunk size, tabletop stage. It
is derived from a type of 1850's Central European puppetry and
storytelling form using paper figures as illustrations. It is referred
to as Papiertheater (paper theater). "Pappenspiel" (paper play) is
a community oriented solo show by "Max" Eberhard Eichner, a
Berlin, Germany, born and raised artist. All ages are welcome.
