AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND WAGES EFFECTIVE
JANUARY 1, 1979.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Monthly salaries from and after January 1, 1979, the salaries
of the following City employees are fixed at not to exceed the following sums,
which salaries shall be paid monthly.
Clerk-Treasurer
Deputy Clerk-Treasurer
Police Chief
Asst. Police
Police Officer 1st Class
Police Officer 3rd Class
Metermaid
Fire Chief
Asst. Fire Chief
Firefighter
Animal Control Officer
Street-Sewer Superintendent
Street Work Supervisor
Equipment Operator
Librarian
Park Superintendent
Asst. Caretaker
Water Superintendent
Utility Accountant
Billing Clerk

ORDINANCE NO. 1827
Section 2. Hourly pay form and after January 1, 1979, the hourly rate
of pay for City Employees, unless Otherwise provided, shall not exceed $12.50
per hour, and may be less where designated by the Mayor.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval,
and publication in the form and manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second, and third times, passed by the Council and
approved by the Mayor on January 16, 1979.
