AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND WAGES EFFECTIVE
JULY 1, 1979.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Monthly salaries from and after July 1, 1979, the
salaries of the following City employees are fixed at not to exceed the
following sums, which salaries shall be paid monthly.
Clerk-Treasurer
Deputy Clerk-Treasurer
Police Chief
Assistant Chief
Police Officer 1st Class
Police Officer 3rd Class
Meter Maid
Fire Chief
Asst. Fire Chief
Firefighter
Animal Control Officer
Street/Sewer Superintendent
Street Work Supervisor
Equipment Operator
Librarian
Asst. Librarian
Park Superintendent
Asst. Park Caretaker
Water Superintendent
Utility Accountant
Billing Clerk
Treatment Plant Operator
Treatment Plant Operator Asst.
Maintenance Assistant
Meter Reader
Equipment Superintendent
Mechanic
Water Installer
Equipment Trainee

ORDINANCE NO. /SqO
Section 2. Effective July 1, 1979 and thereafter the maximum
hourly wage for City Employees shall be $12.50, and may be less where
designated by the Mayor.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approval, and publication in the form and manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on August 21, 1979.
