HomeMy WebLinkAbout1923 Lease a Portion of San Juan Avenue and 10th Street to the Port of Port TownsendORDINANCE NO /~ ~ AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZIN$ THE LEASE OF A PORTION OF SAN JUAN AVENUE BETWEEN LOth STREET AND SIMS WAY, AND A PORTION OF ~0~h STREET BETWEEN SAN JUAN AVENUE AND HAINES STREET, AND RESERVING EASEMENTS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk-Treasurer are here and hereby authorized and directed to enter into a lease of ten years, subject to renogotiation of rent after five years (as previded by RCW 35.24.B00), to the Port of Port Townsend the following described portions of City streets: That portion of San Juan Avenue lyin~ between 10th Street and Sims Way, and That portion of 10th Street lying between San Juan Avenue and Haines Street, Including the area embraced with the intersection of ~a~ Juan Avenue and 10th Street, all of which is subject to an easement reserved by the City for the maintenance and repair of the sewer pump station and all city utility lines therein located, and the necessary expansion or improvement of such facilities. Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law. Read three times and passed by the Council on 1982.
