HomeMy WebLinkAbout1942 Amending Ordinance 1508 - Sewage System ServiceAN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION .3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1508 THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~HE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED,' DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Sect.iOn !' seetion~3~f~Ordi~ance No.. 1508 as amended by Ordinance NO~ 1657, Ordinance. N~. ~ 1791, and Ordinance. No. 1872 is here and hereby amended to read as follows: "Scot to all classes 6f sewage service, as in se~ 2 of this ordinance, the monthly rate of $8.00 shall be paid; provided, that any commercial user. using in excess of i0,0~0 gallons of water per month, the majority of~ which'is'b~ing intr~oduced into the sanitary sewer system, shall pay an amount pro ~.ata to such use, as may be determined by the sewer superintendent% In the event any property owner or~ owners shall require an unusually.!.arge use of the sewer System,' speCial ra%es for such user. may be fixed by ag~reement with the city without the necessity for amending-this~ordinance. The rates herein provided ma~be made subject to such diseounts, reductions or revisioms~as may be provided by'ordinance and stat~e lawfor elderly or handicapped citizens." Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1983, al%er passage, approval and publication as required by law.
