AN ORDINANCE REZONING LOTS 5 THRU 11 AND LOTS 12 THRU
17, OF BLOCK 4, NATIONAL CITY ADDITION NO.1 TO THE CITY
OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN SECTION 9, TOWNSHIP 30, RANGE 1
W.W.M AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL CITY ZONING MAP
WHEREAS due hearing has been held and appropriate findings
made as required by Ordinance No. 1625, now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR
SESSION ASSEMBED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The official map of the City is here and hereby
amended to change from R-lA to C-II zoning those lands in Port
Townsend described as follows:
Lots 5 thru 11 and Lots 12 thru 17, of Block 4 of the
National City Addition No. 1 to the City of Port Town-
send, in Section 9, Township 30, Range 1. W.W.M. all
Situate in Jefferson County, Washington.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage, approval and publication in the form and manner pro-
vided by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on the 17th-day of July, 1984.

DIRECTIVE AS TO COVENANTS
BE IT REMEMBERED that in passing Ordinance ,
on July 17, 1984, and approving rezone request No. 1~4-02,
the City Council approved and passed said Ordinance' and
rezone only upon condition that the applicant for the rezone
therein provided, and all other parties of interest, should
execute and record, in favor of the public and the City of
Port Townsend, Covenants providing as follows:
1. All vehicular traffic access to and from the property
off of Sims Way/State Road 20 shatl~ be at one point only and
located between Lots 6 & 7 of said property, and no other
access to or from said property onto or from Sims Way/State
Road 20~ shall be allowed.
2. That a 12 foot wide green belt and buffer zone shall
be preserved on, over and above the said property adjacent to
and par.allel to Sims Way/State Road 20, consisting of existingshrubs,
trees and the interplanting with evergreen shrubs, in whichs~ruhs
and. existing trees shall not be altered or removed and no
construction of any improvements of any kind whatsoever shall
be made;
The object and purpose of said convenants and restrictions
is to provide a greenbelt along Sims Way/State Road 20 and to
limit access to and from the property onto and from Sims Way/
State Road 20 for traffic safety purposes.
The aforesaid Ordinance shall not be published until the
covenants herein required have been approved by the City Attorney,
City Council, and recorded with the Jefferson County Auditor at
the expense of the applicant. Said Covenants shall also include
such terms and conditions the City Council deems necessary or
desirable to cause such covenants to run with and be binding upon
the property.
Passed at a regular City Council meeting July 17, 1984.
